I would say that the painting is just silent poetry that speaks loudly. People dreamt of their paintings and then they paint their dreams on a drawing or canvas board. Painting is not just the work of few tools and little instruction; rather, it is a vision in your mind. Painting is just another way of expressing your feelings on the canvas or drawing board. But sometimes, people not just paint their dreams but they paint their own reality. Before long, painting is primarily a little mystery, containing many enigmas in it like the "Mona Lisa". Let's dive into it without any further do. 

Mona lisa,


In Latin language the word "mona" means "my lady" or "madam," so the word Mona Lisa means  "Madam Lisa". Mona Lisa is actually a woman-based painting; the painting depicts Lisa del Giocondo, a Florentine woman and part of the Gherardini family. Which is also the portrait of Lisa Gherardini, the wife of Francesco del Giocondo.  Mona Lisa is the well-known, the most viewing, the most writing, and the most singing portrait in the world". Currently Mona Lisa (painting) is in the Louvre Museum in Paris.

Who was Leonardo da Vinci? 



Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452, near Vinci Republic of Florence. 

You will be surprised to know that he was also a theorist, sculptor, and architect, draftsman, engineer, and scientist. 

He never married in his life, On the flip side, he had many close relationships with other artists .

His father’s name was Ser Piero. Piero was a landlord in Florentine, and his mother's name was Caterina. She was a very young beautiful woman who left his father and married another artisan. His parents were unmarried at the time of his birth, small in Vinci ( Tuscan region of the country). 

But Leonardo chose to live with his father’s family. He received his early education there as reading, writing, and arithmetic.

He has only a small output in paintings which are hardly 20; these are the only surviving paintings; sadly, many of them are unfinished.

Leonardo da Vinci painted Mona Lisa in 1503. Leonardo da Vinci is best known for his paintings, the "Mona Lisa". It is Considered an amazing masterpiece of the Italian. Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian, but he sold it to the king of France. . 

Mona Lisa attracts it's viewers each year from every single corner of the world, more than 500 years after it's Leonardo da Vinci painted her. 


Why Vincenzo Peruggia stole "Mona Lisa"? 

It was stolen once by an Italian Louver worker Vincenzo Peruggia, as a worker he successfully stole Mona Lisa from the frame and sneaked it out of the building. Because he believed the painting should be brought back and displayed in its home country as he was Italian nationalist. Vincenzo Peruggia kept this painting for two years, but one day he was caught when he was trying to sell the painting. 



There was another name in the suspects of the theft named Pablo Picasso. It was said that Mona Lisa was never famous, as after it's stolen . It was said more people came to the Louver to stare at the empty frame in the month it went missing than came to see the painting the entire previous year. However, afterwards it was  hanged behind protective glass.

Silvano Vinceti claimed the letter "S" in her left eye, while  letter "L" in her right eye.

According to Dutch researchers, 

According to Dutch researchers, the Mona Lisa's smile was precisely as it is, 

1) Eighty three percent happy

2) Nine percent are disgusted

3) Six percent fearful

4) Two percent each angry and happy, 

 5) Less than one person neutral.

The size of the painting is 77 x 53 cm (133 feet 1011⁄16 inches) is the the original size of painting. 

Completion year

It is believed that Mona Lisa took almost  four years for its completion.

Mona Lisa worth was $100 million in 1962, whilst it is $870 million in  2021.

In 16th century it was fashion to shave the facial hair including the eyebrows.
